International legal practice Osborne Clarke has won the 'Best Recruiter – National/ Large Regional Firm' at the LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards 2016.

LawCareers.Net (LC.N) is a comprehensive, one-stop online resource created for future lawyers and those who recruit them. The LC.N awards set out to identify those employers in the profession that do a great job in giving their trainees a flying start in the profession. Each year, Osborne Clarke recruits 20 trainee solicitors across its three offices in Bristol, London and Thames Valley. Trainees complete four six month seats and have access to award winning training programmes such as Q3D and The Deal. More than 80 per cent of Osborne Clarke's current trainees were recruited after successfully completing a vacation scheme placement at the firm. The award follows on from Osborne Clarke's win at this year's HR in Law Awards for 'Excellence in Direct Recruitment' following several successful internal and external direct recruitment campaigns.

David Shufflebotham, Chief People Officer at Osborne Clarke, commented:

"At Osborne Clarke, we have a clear career structure for our people. Trainees are given real responsibilities from day one and their technical knowledge is constantly built on through our award-winning Q3D programme. "We've put time and investment into our recruitment and training programme and we're really proud to have been recognised for all our efforts in creating one so dynamic, supportive and progressive."
